Closing

During the closing phase, the client and consulting agency agree (or disagree) the project goals were met within budget and the timelines previously established. Any objections in this process need to be worked through so that a consensus is met. The group used a scope verification form to formally document the expected deliverables were received and acceptable and the contract terms had been met.

This phase is also a chance for project contributors to reflect on the successes of the project and identify areas that can be improved upon for future endeavors. Summative evaluations, reflecting a learner’s attitude and experience with the finished product, is often helpful. Careful consideration and delineation on how the completed project helped enhance the business goals and objectives also needs to be considered.
