EDUC 766: Instructional Strategies and
Assessment Methods

This course continued defining the instructional design and development process focusing on alignment of objectives, assessments, and instructional activities.  For the most effective learning to occur, these elements must directly relate to each other. This enhances the learner’s experience and helps them better achieve the learning goals while increasing motivation and self-confidence.

Special emphasis was also given to Universal Principles of Design (UDL). This framework recognizes each learner is unique. It provides ways to address learner variability, including the strengths individuals bring to the learning process and the challenges they encounter during it.

Documents completed in this course include: an Alignment Chart, Sample Instructional Activities (Absorb – Do – Connect Activities); a Sample Assessment and a Personal Reflection.
