EDUC 768: Project Management for
Instructional Development
Incorporating elements from the Project Management Institute's framework, this course introduced the project management process as it relates to instructional design and development. The specific components discussed included project initiation; planning; execution; monitoring and controlling; and closing.

Throughout the course, students worked in teams to address the performance and training needs outlined in a case study. Deliverables were created focusing on the need for telephone etiquette training among operators to enhance customer satisfaction scores and retention rates. Each of the project management components were reviewed and approved by the stakeholder (instructor).

Documents developed included a gap analysis; project charter; work breakdown structure, project schedule; communications matrix; change management plan; instructional design document for targeted and well-defined training; storyboards; and documentation representing operational and/or reporting activities.

Students were asked not to post completed artifacts online out of plagiarism concerns. The information listed in this section outlines the understanding and importance of these documents. Completed samples can be provided upon request.
